Domestic Violence can consist of:
  • Physical abuse, battering, or any other type of domestic assault
  • Intimidation and verbal abuse
  • Threats of violence made to you or your children
  • Stalking or Harassment
  • Violations of restraining orders/orders of protection

Our Domestic Violence Practice Group provides services to both victims of domestic violence and those accused of domestic violence. Domestic violence proceedings can affect divorce proceedings, including child custody matters, visitations issues, property distribution, alimony and incarceration. Our Family Law attorneys have great expertise and experience in the areas of domestic violence and criminal trials, and can aggressively protect your rights.

If You Are A Victim Of Domestic Violence

If you or your family member has been the victim of domestic violence or experienced threats from a spouse, former spouse, family member or other person with whom you have a romantic relationship or have lived together, you can obtain the protection of a restraining order. We also provide counsel for victims of domestic violence in civil unions and non divorce-related matters.

If You Have Been Accused Of Domestic Violence

If you have been accused of domestic violence, we can help you understand your rights and options, and how a domestic violence allegation or conviction can affect your rights during divorce proceedings, custody disputes, and criminal matters. A domestic violence finding can also affect one’s job and profession and precludes the individual from ever owning or possessing any weapons.

The goals of the Domestic Violence Practice Group are to resolve cases to the complete satisfaction of our clients, to fully protect our clients, and to ensure they receive appropriate justice.
